I had a fantastic time at my first con as a professional artist! Did a bunch of sketches, got a lot of flyers handed out and hopefully some new readers! Here are a few pictures. I forgot to take many shots, because I was just too dang excited to be there (and I’m getting older and forgetful). Click on the images for full size.
My very first con sketch! My old friend Dave came by to see me, it was great to see him; it’s been nearly 20 years! Thanks a ton for the support, Dave!

Friends from church Crystal and Mike brought a couple of pictures of their dog, Printz, for sketching; here’s one of them. (Photo by Crystal)
I did a bunch of super heroes as dogs, which has kind of become my thing. It gets me practice with hand coloring, different shapes and poses, plus it’s fun to imagine dogs flying around as comic heroes! Here’s the Hulk (smashing kitty, of course)!

I wasn’t the only artist at the table; “Bark To The Future” guest writer Ben Taylor has quite the talent with the pens! He drew this amazing Sonic Screwdriver (from memory, no less) while I took a break. I didn’t have a lot of time to wander the floor, so I am so grateful to have gotten some art of my own to take home; thanks Ben!!
And finally, here’s one of me, scribbling away, while Hunter does what he does best….begging! Photo by Atlas Comics
Many thanks to everyone who stopped by, got a sketch, chatted, and left a tip. Can’t wait to do the DC con on Sunday!
