So, I’m taking a much needed day off from posting a new comic, but here’s some new stuff! On Sunday, I officially launched my first book, “No Shenanigans!”, at the VA Comicon followed by a book release party at a local restaurant. I had a fantastic time, and would like to thank everyone who bought a book this weekend, making it my best convention to date! If you bought it for your kids, or even yourself, you may have already seen the “How To Draw Hunter” section of the book. Please feel free to send me your drawings! I will post them here on the website! I’d love to see how y’all draw my boy. I’m working hard on getting a store done so ALL of you can get my book if you so choose! Thanks for letting me take a day off, y’all! The weekend was made all the more special when “Bark To The Future” writer and my good friend, Ben Taylor, came down for the events!!! It’s always a great time hanging and chatting with Ben, and I am so happy he made it down! The comic post is a sketch I did for the children’s costume contest winner. She asked for a beagle (she has one) with a lightsaber! That’s my kind of kid right there. Sadly, she and her family had to leave before I could get it done, and I did not get a chance to get it to her, or even get their contact info. If you’re out there and seeing this, contest winner, please contact me so I can get this to you!
Here’s some photos from the weekend! Click on them for full size.

My first book sold at the con was to the talented David Hindelang of Iconograph Studios. The weasel who thinks he’s a raccoon is Rankle, a character from their comic, “Our Last Gasp”. Thanks, David! Check out their awesome stuff at http://ourlastgasp.com

Rusty Gilligan was set up across the aisle from us; he does a comic about cats, “Mac and Trouble”. They apparently had issues with my “Cats are Evil” print and retaliated with this awesome piece of art. Shenanigans were had. http://www.macandtrouble.com/

For a guy who says he’s a writer, not an artist, Ben sure can draw! This is Saint Walker of the Blue Lanterns.

The adults costume contest winner with one of her prizes, a free sketch from Ben! Chibi Batman! She was one awesome Martian Manhunter!

After the con, at my book launch party. The amazingly talented Kyle Crosby of The Simma Downs and his very cool daughter. Enjoy the comics, Pocket Diva! Check out the Simma Downs at http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/thesimmadowns

The sketch I did in the Crosby’s book. Hunter singing a lyric from one of the Simma Down’s songs. Seriously, check out their music. http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/thesimmadowns

My friend Michelle’s sketch. Her dog is whom I based Brodie, the villain of the comic on. I decided to let him defend himself!
