Well, that does it folks. Over a year of strips, an epic journey, and a wonderful experience for me. I hope you all have enjoyed this fantastic story Ben and I put together for you. I learned a whole lot over the past year! I really can’t wait to get all the strips put together into Volume 2 of “A Dog’s Life”, hopefully in full color, sometime this fall. I’d write more, but after the launch of my first book, “No Shenanigans!”, today at the VA Comicon and then my book release party, I am quite brain dead. It was hot. Really hot. But it was an unforgettable day! It was made even more special when BTTF writer Ben Taylor decided to come down! It’s always a good time hanging out with Ben. Huge thanks to everyone who came out and checked out the book today; I hope you enjoy it!
Speaking of Ben, is there anything you’d like to add, sir?
BEN: Okay so given that there is a brain dead artist sat to my left, once more it is down to the the writer to once again save the day! Or write words, one of the two. First of all you will notice another one of those large black bars across one of the words in today’s 3rd panel. Once again much debate was had, and well once again we didn’t feel like altering one of the best lines in the source movie, as that has really been our stance all along. Now, looking back on the last year and a bit, our personal journies have been every bit as epic as the one that Hunter and Gillybean went on. Chris has not only published book one, but he’s published himself a little baby girl (but lets be honest the amazing Marlene did most of the work there.) When it comes to the comic I am thankful that Chris decided to allow me to write the strip on the basis of four words. I’m also glad that I decided to hand the strip back to him at strip 150 to allow him to handle the epilogue of the story in a way he saw fitting. Chris, it is somewhat fitting that here I am sitting in your house the moment that the last strip in our journey goes live, Love ya Brother. Overall all I can say is thank you. To not only Chris but the to the readers and all those that came out to the conventions over the last year said hello and perhaps even got a sketch from Chris (or one of my measley efforts). Thank you all for following me down the rabbit hole…
hmm..
Rabbit hole…
That gives me an idea…..
