More fun with our new dog, Griffin! She is my little homage to a fantastic comic creator, Dawn Griffin of “Zorphbert and Fred”. If you’re new here, Frohike is our resident crazy squirrel with a head full of conspiracy theories. I figure if a dog has never been subjected to an Invisible Fence, they’d think it’s pretty insane.
A couple of fun notes about today’s comic:
I’ve always thought “Merv Griffin” was a funny looking name. It sounds fine when you say it, but for some reason, seeing it in print cracks me up.
The “SPROING” sound effect is a nod to one of Dawn’s characters, “Sproing”, a robot dog that gets up to shenanigans so it looks like Zorphbert and Fred are dogs, not aliens in dog suits sent here to study us.
